Job description
We are looking to recruit an Adult Education Tutor in IT to join our busy Lifelong Learning and Culture Service, within the Dysgu Bro team. The post holder will work as part of the team to provide high quality teaching and training to all levels and abilities of adult learners, including managers and employees of Ceredigion County Council, local businesses,
other teaching professionals, learners from other organisations and the local community.
On a day to day basis you will:
Critically select, adapt and implement different teaching strategies and differentiate delivery and be innovative with resources to ensure inclusion and equality of opportunity for learners of different learning abilities, disabilities and needs.
Provide advice, training, assessment, feedback, guidance, motivation and encouragement to mixed ability groups, who have a diverse range of needs.
Assess, monitor and evaluate learners' progress, course work and examination submissions and adapt teaching strategies to ensure learners progress towards their learning aims.
Actively participate in marketing and promotional activities and publicise Dysgu Bro courses through distribution of posters and leaflets, networking with contacts and direct marketing events and initiatives.
We are looking to recruit an individual:
with a PGCE or Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above or willingness to work towards gaining one.
with a Subject specialism qualification at Level 3 or above from a recognised Awarding Organisation.
who is able to deliver teaching effectively to diverse levels of ability and needs.
has good communication and interpersonal skills.
is able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
is available to teach day and evening classes.
The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
