A Family Support Worker is required to be part of the Integrated Family Support Service, working with families in Ceredigion that are in crisis, struggling to manage and this is affecting their care of the children.
The post requires a willingness to work directly with families in times of crisis in their family home, therefore personal experience, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with all could be of equal merit to qualifications. The post will work as part of a team providing both emotional and practical support to families; this will involve working in the family home often in evenings, early mornings and at the weekend. The post will be challenging but also in our experience very rewarding as you will be part of a team making real changes to families that are at breaking point.
The post is part of the ongoing transformation of services within Ceredigion Council to provide a through age service in terms of supporting the entire family using a strength based approach using the Signs of Safety model.
