We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to lead the Modern Languages department. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher who can create exciting learning opportunities across the age and ability range. They will be able to develop strong working relationships with pupils, staff and parents and will make a strong contribution to the strong ethos of working as a team, which is a feature of the school.
The department is very successful which currently teaches French although the school is open to discuss any changes in terms of this.
Aberaeron Comprehensive School is a bilingual school and the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post. There are over 600 pupils at the school, which also has a successful 6th form. During a visit by Estyn in 2016, they noted that the pupils ‘are very well-behaved and very supportive of each other.
