A vacancy exists within Ceredigion County Council’s Public Protection Services.
We are looking for an experienced Trading Standards Officer to join our Trading Standards team.
Applicants must have a Diploma in Trading Standards (or equivalent qualification) and be competent to carry out Food Standards, Feed Hygiene and Weights and Measures functions.
The successful candidate will work as part of integrated multi-disciplinary service which incorporates Trading Standards, Licensing and Environmental Health. You will be required to undertake the full range of trading standards functions including investigating consumer complaints, inspection of business premises to ensure compliance with trading standards legislation including product safety and fair trading.
You must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritise your workload and be able to work as part of a small team and be self-motivated and organised to work alone in some situations.
